For a true tropical island paradise, the tiny 4-star resorts of Athuruga and Thudufushi are impossible to beat. With just 46 rooms each, you will have the real Robinson Crusoe experience. Both islands are very pretty and have tall coconut palms fringing the white sandy beaches.

As both islands are All-Inclusive, there is no money to carry around and no need to work out how many exotic cocktails you can afford. This is incredible value for money bearing in mind the holiday price includes all meals, drinks, cocktails, most watersports and some excursions as well as accommodation, flights, seaplane transfers and even laundry.

Athuruga has a very attractive open-air restaurant, bar, boutique, spa and regular entertainment. There is a watersports centre and a PADI dive school. Its spacious air-conditioned cottage style rooms have an open-air bathroom, sitting area, minibar stocked with soft drinks and beer, and a terrace.

Thudufushi is designed along very similar lines and is slightly closer to the best dive sites while Athuruga has a slightly better house reef for snorkeling. Both resorts have themed evenings in the restaurant such as Italian, Spanish, International, Mexican, BBQ, Asian & Maldivian. Tours and excursions available from both include a Robinson Crusoe Day Excursion to a desert island, various fishing trips, Snorkeling by Dhoni and night snorkeling.

At the spa, you can enjoy a variety of massages, scrubs and facials for both men and women using natural materials such as honey, cucumber, sesame, coconut, yoghurt, coffee, papaya and orange. Various oils, soaps, shampoos, facial creams, cleansers, masks, towels, and bathrobes are available.
