Komandoo is a small and peaceful island with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The evening entertainment is low key and enjoyable - it is more about being on a quiet, idyllic island for a week or two rather than loud discos!

The snorkelling is superb here with a magnificent house reef and beautiful turquoise lagoon all around the island. When you are sitting in the bar, you may see turtles, mantas, sharks, rays and even dolphins passing by.

BEACH VILLAS - just a few steps from the water

Upgrade - JACUZZI BEACH VILLAS: these also have a spacous private fenced garden with an outdoor jacuzzi bath and daybed. They are closer to the sea than the beach villas.

Upgrade - JACUZZI WATER VILLAS: built on wooden columns in the beautiful south lagoon with romantic views from a large, secluded, furnished, partly roofed terrace and sundeck with stairs down to the water.
On the terrace lie in comfort on a double sun lounger or under shade on a daybed.
These water villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area and are exquisitely furnished with solid teak furniture. The bathrooms have a walk in rain shower and a Jacuzzi bath overlooking the lagoon. The bedroom has four poster beds, kimonos, flat screen TV, home cinema system and expresso machine.

Facilities at Komandoo

• Watersports including windsurfing, canoes (have a go at paddling round the island!), catamaran sailing, and PADI dive school
• The diving here is particularly good - there are over 40 dive sites close by, and trips also run at night. The house reef has four exit and entry points and the two jetties on either side of the island lead you right over the reef edge. Snorkellers can also take a boat out to other reefs, and if you have not snorkelled before then they will help you learn how to do it
• Health spa and jacuzzi - there are a whole variety of treatments and massages for men and women
• Small gym, plus a few sports such as badminton and table tennis
• Internet café
• Souvenir shop offers a wide variety of handicrafts, clothes and everyday necessities

Cuisine

• Restaurant with ocean views which is built with a thatched roof in typical Maldives style - the deck extends over water giving the unique experience of dining over water
• Coffee shop
• Bar overlooking the lagoon for cocktails, again in typical Maldives style with thatched roof
• For perhaps the most romantic evening of your life, do not miss out on a once in a lifetime candlelit dinner on the beach, as the sun sets with a glass of champagne or your favorite wine
