Our Opinion
Anantara is actually a couple of little islands next to each other, and to make it special they ferry you around in little boats, while encouraging you to visit the other island to the one you are staying on.
The lagoon and beaches are absolutely stunning, but the best sorkelling is found by a short boat ride. The diving, again best by boat, is exceptional. There are a range of villas and you can guarantee which side of the island you would like to be - sunrise or sunset!

Upgrade - DELUXE OVER WATER BUNGALOWS (Bodu Huraa): These are brand new with a large terrazzo bath and open-air shower with private sundeck
Alternative - DELUXE BEACHFRONT VILLAS (Dhigufinolhu): these have a part open-air bathroom positioned on the beachfront with its own terrace, on the sunrise side of the island.
UPGRADE - DELUXE BEACHFRONT SUNSET VILLAS (Dhigufinolhu): these are as above but on the sunset side of the island
UPGRADE - DELUXE OVERWATER SUITES (Dhigufinolhu): extremely beautiful
rooms built on stilts over the water, with espresso machine, wine chiller, bath and a large private sundeck
with steps down into the sea, on the sunrise side of the island.
